Elizabeth Francis serves as legal officer for ADF International in London, United Kingdom. Her responsibilities include detailed legal research, advocacy, and policy, with a focus on promoting and protecting religious freedom, sanctity of life, and family life.
Prior to joining ADF International, she worked at an international consultancy firm advising global institutions on regulatory and compliance matters. She has also held legal consultancy positions at the UK Ministry of Justice and the World Health Organization. Francis has previously provided pro-bono legal research to assist lawyers in East Africa and South Asia, and has sat on the Boards of both a European Christian political network and a UK-based pregnancy support charity.
Francis holds a degree in Law and an LL.M in International Law and Human Rights with distinction from Warwick University, as well as an M.A. in Socio-Legal Studies from the University of Nottingham, where she focused on the intersection of human rights and maternal health in developing countries. She participated in the Blackstone Legal Fellowship programme in 2011.
