"This topic really touches my heart, as I know the pain of losing a child...Surely a simple prayer for the vulnerable cannot be prohibited?”
A “40 Days for Life” group is challenging local authorities for prohibiting their prayer for women and children outside pre-abortion advisory centre
Pavica Vojnović had been shocked in 2019 to hear that the local municipality in Germany had suddenly denied permission for her prayer group to hold vigils near the centre.
Twice a year, around 20 people had gathered to pray for an end to abortion and for a society that better supports women and their unborn children. The vigils took place every day for 40 days– silently and peacefully. Despite Pavica applying and being granted all of the necessary permissions for their previous vigils, the municipality has prevented them from praying near the "pro-familia" centre for the past 2 years.
Almost two years after the initial prohibition, the case will be heard in national court on February 15th.
