ADF International was invited to present its book Never Again at the IDC National Advocacy Convention last week in Washington DC. Kelsey Zorzi, UN Counsel for ADF International, introduced the book while participating on a panel following the DC premiere of Our Last Stand—a documentary detailing the plight of Christians in Iraq and Syria. The filmmakers of the documentary, Jordan Allott and Helma Adde, also participated on the panel.
Zorzi discussed the various options the international community has to prosecute ISIS for genocide. Zorzi directed the members of the audience to Never Again for a legal analysis of why it is accurate to use the word genocide when referring to the atrocities committed by ISIS against Christians.
The theme of IDC’s 2016 convention was ‘Beyond Genocide: Preserving Christianity in the Middle East.’ The convention was attended by over 50 members of the United States Congress as well as many church and NGO leaders.
