Allied attorney Jacqueline Isaac to speak before UK Parliament

ADF International’s allied attorney Jacqueline Isaac will speak on behalf of Christians in the Middle East in front of the UK Parliament on Wednesday, 20 April.  She will address the ongoing genocide in Syria and Iraq and testify on the atrocities religious minorities have to suffer at the hands of ISIS.

Isaac is a well known human rights advocate addressing issues facing minorities across the Middle East. As an Egyptian-American with a passion for international affairs, she lived in Egypt during her teenage years, and returned to conduct an independent grass roots project on female genital mutilation and was then stationed in Cairo to work with the United Nations Development Program on HIV/AIDS. She advised Rev. Dr. Safwat El-Baiady of the Evangelical Churches of Egypt, a delegate of the Constitutional Assembly appointed in drafting the new Egyptian Constitution. She has made strides to unify the Egyptian people regardless of religion, class or differences.

Isaac launched a 2014 refugee mentorship program with community leaders across the County to encourage young refugee teenagers living in San Diego. Through the partnership of His Royal Highness Prince Mired Raad Zeid Al-Hussein of Jordan, Jacqueline Isaac initiated a humanitarian mission and sent 40,000 pounds of blankets, warm clothing, and toys to Syrian refugees in Jordan.

Due to her activities, Isaac was granted Pro Bono Service Awards such as the Council on Legal Education Opportunities, California Bar Foundation, University of San Diego and the Copley Press. Isaac co-hosts a television program in Arabic, and has appeared on a variety of TV networks including C-SPAN, FOX, KUSI, NBC and more.
