Tehmina Arora is a constitutional and human rights lawyer with over two decades of legal experience, specializing in religious freedom, minority rights, and the protection of unborn girls from sex-selective abortion in India and South Asia. She currently serves as the Director of Advocacy, Asia, at ADF International, where she works with a dedicated team of allied lawyers to advance strategic litigation and policy initiatives that uphold fundamental rights and the rule of law across Asia.<\/p>


Together with her colleagues, Arora has contributed to landmark cases defending the rights of vulnerable communities. Her role involves collaborating on legal strategies, guiding and mentoring young lawyers, and engaging with policymakers to strengthen legal protections for fundamental freedoms.<\/p>


On 9 October 2020, she was appointed to the Advisory Committee for the Delhi State Appropriate Authority under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act. Serving a three-year term, she contributed her legal expertise alongside leading medical professionals and social workers in the fight against female foeticide.<\/p>


Arora also served as a member of the fact-finding committee constituted by the Delhi Minority Commission to investigate the 2020 Delhi riots and co-authored the commission\u2019s official report.<\/p>


Her publications include the book chapter entitled \u201cSalad Bowl\u201d Secularism: India\u2019s Covenant to Preserve Pluralism, a co-authored report on religious persecution in the Lausanne Movement\u2019s Global Justice Series, and other works addressing the intersection of constitutional law and human rights.<\/p>
