Convinced that the exercise by the child of his or her rights and developing autonomy must in the first instance be\u00a0guided, directed, and nurtured by the parent, and that the parent is presumed to act in the best interest of the child\u00a0(unless exceptional instances such as abuse or neglect indicate otherwise);<\/p><p>&#8211; Grounded in the natural right of parents to raise their children to flourish in accordance with their beliefs, and recognizing\u00a0the duty and responsibility of parents in the upbringing of their children:<\/p><p>&#8211; This Charter sets forth principles that seek to uphold the right of parents to receive timely and accurate information\u00a0held by any public authority or private organisation regarding their child\u2019s education, health, and well-being or any other\u00a0record or data pertaining to their children.
