Cort\u00e9s<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> has been convicted of \u201cgender-based political violence,\u201d including digital violence, for social media posts on Twitter and Facebook referring to transgender-identifying Mexican Congressional representative, Salma Lu\u00e9vano, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">as a \u201cman who self-ascribes August, Mexico\u2019s highest court for electoral issues, the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judicial Power,<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">upheld the lower court\u2019s guilty verdict,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> convicting Cort\u00e9s of <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">(<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">i<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">) gender-based political violence, (ii) digital violence, (iii) symbolic violence, (iv) psychological violence, and (v) sexual violence for <\/span><span
