In 2022, you can now be criminalised for professing the scripture of that same faith.<\/p>\n<p>A Bishop and a parliamentarian have been\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2022\/03\/30\/finnish-court-clears-christian-politician-bishop-of-hate-speech-charges\/\">tried<\/a>\u00a0for \u2018hate speech\u2019 in Finland, in this case for merely quoting and affirming biblical views. In 2019 MP P\u00e4ivi R\u00e4s\u00e4nen, grandmother of seven, had sent a tweet, accompanied by a Bible verse, criticising her church for co-sponsoring the Helsinki Pride parade.<\/p>\n<p>Less than 280 characters triggered a life-changing police investigation. R\u00e4s\u00e4nen was charged for the tweet, and also for backing biblical teaching on marriage and sexuality in a radio interview. Her third strike was a pamphlet she had written for her church in 2004 titled, tellingly, \u2018Male and Female He Created Them\u2019.
