The accusation of prayer being &#8220;performative&#8221; rather than genuine lies in the eye of the beholder. Over 6,640 charges related to this behaviour have been reported to the Crown Office between April 2019 and 2023. 14% of women have undergone coercion when it comes to making a decision about abortion \u2013 that\u2019s about 1 in 7.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559685&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559685&quot;:0}\">Commenting on her arrest, Rose Docherty said:<\/span><\/p><p><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cI held a sign that read \u201cCoercion is a crime, here to talk, if you want\u201d. Everyone has the right to a consensual conversation. I simply made myself available for a chat, should anybody like to approach me and speak about any matter on their mind. I didn\u2019t breach the buffer zone \u2013 I didn\u2019t harass, intimidate, or even seek to influence anyone. I simply stood there, available to speak with love and compassion.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559685&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cIt isn\u2019t right to deprive anyone of the right to take up my offer to talk. Buffer zones aren\u2019t \u201cpro-choice\u201d \u2013 they deprive women of the choice to have a chat outside the clinic.
