The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theiwh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/GCD-Declaration-2021-2.pdf\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Geneva Consensus Declaration<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, launched in 2020, reaffirms \u201cthe inherent dignity and worth of the human person\u201d and that \u201cevery human being has the inherent right to life.\u201d As signatories of the Declaration, governments commit to \u201cenable women to go safely through pregnancy and childbirth and provide couples with the best chance of having a healthy infant\u201d and emphasize that \u201cin no case should abortion be promoted as a method of family planning.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The international Declaration marked its third anniversary at a high-level meeting of governments at the U.S. Capitol, co-chaired by Senator Daines (R-Montana), Senator Lankford (R-Oklahoma), Senator Hyde-Smith (R-Mississippi), Senator Marco Rubio (R-Florida), Congressman Jim Banks (R-Indiana), Congressman Aderholt (R-Alabama), and Congressman Chris Smith (R-New Jersey), together with the ambassadors of Guatemala and Hungary.\u00a0 <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cIt is possible, and essential, for governments to commit to protecting innocent human lives, while also providing the highest level of care and support for expectant mothers.
