GENEVA – ISIS is systematically eliminating ethnic, cultural, and religious diversity in Syria and Iraq; genocide is its weapon of choice. On 24 November ADF International presented its book “Never Again” at the United Nations. The author and additional experts commented on the plight of Christians and other religious minorities in the region. They also discussed international law and commitments that should have prevented the genocide in the first place.
No person or group should live in fear of being killed, tortured, or oppressed because of their religious beliefs
“No person or group should live in fear of being killed, tortured, or oppressed because of their religious beliefs. ADF International’s book Never Again is a comprehensive analysis of international law on genocide and presents eyewitness accounts of ISIS’ atrocities in Syria and Iraq. Our side event will focus on the flaws of the current legal situation. In addition, our speakers will discuss the necessary steps towards the prosecution of the perpetrators and justice for the persecuted,” said Rubén Navarro, Senior UN Counsel for ADF International, who hosted the presentation.
