– Policy briefing with world-renowned experts in Washington, DC
– Presentation of white paper on anti-conversion laws worldwide
WASHINGTON, DC (4.5.2018) – How should we counter the steady rise of religious persecution of Christians and other minorities around the world? On 8 May, ADF International will join the Policy Briefing on the Global Crisis in Religious Freedom with Ambassador Samuel Brownback, where this question will be addressed.
“No person or group should live in fear of being killed, tortured, or oppressed because of their religious beliefs. The rise of anti-conversion laws worldwide testifies to a growing crisis in religious freedom,” said Balakrishnan Baskaran, Legal Consultant to ADF International in India. During the briefing, he will address the situation of religious minorities in Asia and present the new ADF International white paper Anti-Conversion Laws and the International Response.
Kellie Fiedorek, Legal Counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom, will address the situation of religious freedom in the United States. The US partner of ADF International is currently litigating several precedent-setting cases at the Supreme Court, in which the rights to freedom of religion and belief are at stake.
