This report explains why the Republic of Paraguay must continue to protect the right of life of all human beings, including the unborn, and why it should, in the interest of protecting the rights and wellbeing of women and children, resist calls to liberalize access to abortion. The report also examines the issue of high levels of maternal mortality and morbidity in the country, as well as the importance of respecting parental rights in children’s education.

This report highlights the legal restrictions on the rights to freedom of religion, expression and conscience in Singapore. It raises concerns about arbitrary and overly restrictive regulations on faith-based associations and religious activities, as well as the Singaporean government’s failure to respect the right to conscientious objection.

This report highlights the severe restrictions on freedom of religion in Somalia and calls on the government to adhere to its international human rights commitments to protect this fundamental human right. Furthermore, it explains why Somalia must fully respect the right to freedom of expression and the right to freedom of religion within its borders and provide greater protection for Christians and other religious minorities. It also explains why Somalia should continue should resist calls to liberalize access to abortion due to the fact that there is no international human right to abortion.

This submission reviews the current state of freedom of religion or belief in Nepal,
where religious minorities are restricted from, inter alia, freely manifesting their faith and possessing religious texts and materials. Accordingly, it makes recommendations
regarding the need to align relevant laws with international human rights standards.

Secondly, this report highlights the negative impact of Nepal’s culture of “son preference” and the resulting sex ratio imbalance and makes recommendations on further protecting women’s equal enjoyment of their right to life and freedom from exploitation.
