Elyssa Koren serves as director of United Nations advocacy in New York City, where she oversees ADF International’s UN Headquarters and Geneva legal teams.

Elyssa Koren serves as director of United Nations advocacy in New York City, where she oversees ADF International’s UN Headquarters and Geneva legal teams. Koren’s expertise is in international human rights law, with a focus on issues pertaining to the protection of life, parental rights, and freedom of conscience as they relate to state sovereignty and the multilateral system. Koren provides legal support to UN member state representatives to shape UN documents to protect and affirm the innate dignity of every person. She assists with crafting resolutions and legal arguments for negotiations. She participates annually in the work of the Second and Third committees of the General Assembly, the Commission for Social Development, the Commission on the Status of Women, the Commission on Population and Development, and the sessions of the Human Rights Council. She has also hosted numerous events on human rights and contemporary social issues at the United Nations in conjunction with Member States. Koren has been published widely in various media outlets, including Newsweek, Daily Signal, and Public Discourse, and regularly partakes in speaking engagements and training seminars on the UN and international human rights law. Koren obtained a J.D. and a M.A. in international relations at the University of Toronto in 2011. She also earned a B.A. in political science with a minor in history and international development studies at McGill University in 2008. She is admitted to the bar in New York.
