Elyssa Koren

Elyssa Koren serves as Legal Communications Director, where she oversees ADF International’s media communications efforts. She advances the advocacy objectives of ADF International by crafting legal communications and executing media outreach for the organization’s work across the globe.

Koren’s expertise is in international human rights law and the protection of fundamental freedoms. Her focus areas include the right to life, conscience, and parental rights in relation to state sovereignty and the international institutions. She previously served as Director of UN Advocacy for ADF International, spearheading advocacy efforts at UN Headquarters and the Human Rights Council for ten years.

Koren has been published widely in various media outlets, including Newsweek, National Review, and Public Discourse. She regularly participates in speaking engagements and training seminars on international human rights.

Koren obtained a J.D. and a M.A. in international relations at the University of Toronto in 2011. She also earned a B.A. in political science at McGill University in 2008. She is admitted to the bar in New York.

 

Statement of Faith

Based on our adherence to the inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God in Scripture, we profess with the Christian Church throughout time and around the world the faith expressed in the Apostles’ Creed:

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
