He has addressed high-level meetings and training events on human rights and international law, including at the United Nations.
Prior to joining ADF International, Mazzoli practised law with a large international firm in Rome, where he focused on transnational contract negotiations, intellectual property, and a wide range of civil and commercial disputes. He also served as a Legal Fellow and Adviser with the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the UN in New York in 2016-2017, where he participated as a delegate to meetings and consultations on international peace and security, human rights, and migration.
Mazzoli earned his single-cycle master’s degree in law with highest honors from the Sapienza University of Rome in 2016. During his legal studies, he completed a 7-month internship at the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations and Specialized Agencies in Geneva, where he monitored the activities of the Human Rights Council and its mechanisms. He furthered his UN experience through an internship with ADF International in Geneva as part of its international law scholarship program, where he focused on the issue of religious persecution in the Middle East and North Africa region.
He is a native Italian speaker, fluent in English and French, and conversational in Spanish.
