Jean-Paul Van De Walle serves as legal counsel, Europe, for ADF International in Belgium (Brussels), advocating for religious freedom, life, and the family at the European Union.
Jean-Paul Van De Walle serves as legal counsel, Europe, for ADF International in Belgium (Brussels), advocating for religious freedom, life, and the family at the European Union.
Prior to joining ADF International, Van De Walle served as a lawyer for seven years before the Brussels Bar in a renowned law firm, handling lawsuits in Belgian torts law, insurance law, and contract law.
Having a long-time interest in bioethics, Van De Walle has been closely monitoring, from a legal and bioethical perspective, the life-related issues in Belgium during the last decade, in particular the debate on the end-of-life (Belgian Law on euthanasia) and the debate on the possible legalization of surrogacy. He has regularly spoken on those topics in the media and has been invited as a guest speaker to several conferences.
Van De Walle holds a Masters Degree in Law with a specialization in criminal and civil proceedings from the Catholic University of Louvain and a Bachelors Degree in Law from the University of Namur, both earned with honours. He is a native Dutch-French bilingual speaker.
