Jonas Fiebrantz

ADVOCACY OFFICER, UNITED NATIONS

Jonas Fiebrantz serves as United Nations Advocacy Officer with ADF International in Geneva, Switzerland. In this role, he works with advocates, allied diplomats, and like-minded organizations to promote human rights and fundamental freedoms through the UN system, working in particular through the Human Rights Council and its various mechanisms.

Fiebrantz also serves as chair of the United Nations Working Group of the International Religious Freedom Roundtable, as well as vice-president of the Geneva NGO Committee on Freedom of Religion or Belief.

Fiebrantz has an MA in Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution from the University of Bradford, UK, and also holds degrees in International Relations and International Organization, as well as in Philosophy of Social Sciences, both from the University of Groningen, NL. His research specialization was institutional peace processes, human rights, and the role of culture in shaping both
